In today’s technologically advanced world, we have many options when it comes to making changes within our bodies and our minds. We can generally choose whether we want to make changes by hard work or whether we want a quicker, more painless approach. Unfortunately, we often opt for the pain-free route only to realize that it doesn’t work as well, if at all. When it comes to cellulite removal, we have several paths to choose from, and it is our decision to choose which we will take. There are many viable options available on the market today, and we will discuss these here.
Choosing A Healthy Cellulite Removal Option
One of the most common and inexpensive ways to remove unwanted cellulite is through daily physical exercise and a nutritious, low-fat diet. Cellulite occurs in areas of the body that do not receive proper circulation, such as the outer thigh area, the hips and the buttocks. When one has remained sedentary for a long period of time without physical activity, cellulite tends to settle into the adipose tissue layer, especially in women. Since women naturally tend to carry more body fat than men, cellulite is more of a problem for them. Because of a woman’s capacity for carrying and birthing children, more fat is required for that process. Cardio routines such as running, walking or doing aerobics, coupled with a weight-training routine, can help in the process of cellulite removal.
Specific exercises called “spot” routines can be helpful in the removal of cellulite as well. Lying on one’s side with legs straight out, gently lift one leg to the ceiling and then turn to lift the opposite leg. This should be repeated 10 times on each leg. This exercise specifically targets the outer thigh and buttocks area in order to help reduce and remove cellulite. Along with exercise, nutrition plays a vital role in cellulite removal as well. Avoiding processed and junk foods is a good start in combating cellulite and many health-related problems as well. Refined sugars and saturated fats in excess contribute to the gain of body fat and should be taken out of one’s diet, while leaving healthy protein such as lean poultry and fish, as well as beans and whole grains. Generally, a low-fat diet is needed to help lose weight and reduce overall body fat.
Other options for cellulite removal include various creams and lotions which are heavily marketed. Some of these require the lotion to be massaged into the skin in order to help with circulatory issues as well. Supplements and herbs are often geared to targeting cellulite, but special caution should be taken when taking a pill for a quick fix. This will usually end in a waste of money for the consumer. Surgeries to remove cellulite are extremely costly and the benefits of this are mostly short-term. It is a band-aid approach to fixing the cellulite problem, for the cellulite will return unless an exercise and dietary regimen is undertaken. Whatever path one chooses to take with regard to cellulite removal, the pros and cons of quick approaches must be seriously weighed.
