The words cottage cheese and orange peel are often to describe the dimply skin that shows up on the stomach, hips, and thighs of victims across the country. Though it is often thought to relate, cellulite is not directly related to a person’s weight or size. In addition to creams, wraps, liposuction, massage and other cellulite treatments, cellulite laser treatments provide other options to those wanting to remedy cellulite. Three types of laser treatments available to consumers are laser toning, VelaSmooth treatments, and Tri-Active treatments.

Laser Toning Cellulite Laser Treatment

Laser toning is a device that is often used to combat wrinkles, but has been applied as a cellulite laser treatment as cellulite often has similar ripples to that of wrinkles. In this procedure, both radio waves and the energy from laser light are directed beneath the surface of the skin. The procedure invokes a wound response that encourages collagen production and skin tightening. Though this may work on cellulite, this procedure is still mainly used on wrinkles.

VelaSmooth Cellulite Laser Treatment

Like laser toning, VelaSmooth is another cellulite laser treatment available to people who wish to reduce the appearance of cellulite. The device is handheld and uses infrared light, radio frequency and suction. The light and waves softens fat and suction elongates the strands that are fibrous and cause the dimpling appearance of cellulite. In addition, these are used to stimulate cell metabolism and encourage the breaking down of fat. There is also a kneading affect that promotes drainage of the lymphatic system. The process takes many sessions, eight sessions or more.

Tri-Active Cellulite Laser Treatment

A Tri-Active cellulite laser treatment actually applies three different treatments that can also be used separately. First, lasers are used to increase circulation and the breaking down of fat cells. Then, a cooling system in the form of a cooling head reduces swelling and burning. Finally, the massage facilitates the draining of the lymphatic system. The experience has been noted to range from a light massage to a deep-tissue massage. This system has been FDA approved to reduce cellulite appearance temporarily.

Conclusion

While these treatments have either secured FDA approval or are in the process of obtaining FDA approval, it is still important to know what other options are available. In addition to those sited in the first paragraph, it is also imperative that you know the importance of exercise, diet and plenty of water in the fight against cellulite.

Anti Cellulite Diet

Nearly all women know how stressful having dimply, unsightly cellulite rippling across your bum and legs can be. And it’s fact that this irritating stuff is very difficult to remove. However, by exercising regularly and eating an anti-cellulite diet, not only can you help remove, or at least improve the condition of your body, you can also give yourself a new lease on life, improving everything from your hair and skin to your sanity.

You Are What You Eat

Cellulite is basically fat that has a dimply appearance due to poor circulation, diet and / or hormonal imbalances, most commonly seen in women of Western society. And if you look at the staple diet of this culture, you can see that in general it is excessive and full of refined carbohydrates (such as cakes and pies), fats (and mostly “bad” or saturated fats) with few vitamins and minerals. So by incorporating a “cleaner”, anti cellulite diet, along with incorporating regular exercise, not only will you lose weight, tone up and reduce the look of your cellulite, you’ll be pleased to see a number of other health benefits come your way.

Look And Feel Better

By eating an anti cellulite diet, you’ll be improving body circulation, inducing “feel good” hormones, improving coordination and flexibility, reducing stress and hence blood pressure levels, heightening your body’s immunity to fight disease and illness, not too mention looking and feeling terrific! By eating the recommended intake of vitamins and minerals, you’ll have improved skin, hair and nails, as well as giving you a zest for life that you never knew you had.

What to Eat

A typical anti-cellulite diet should consist of plenty of water (to find out how much, halve your body weight in pounds to give you your daily intake in ounces), an abundance of fresh vegetables (try to make your plate “colorful”), lean protein with every meal (such as tuna, chicken or lean red meat) as well as a small amount of “good” fats and oils, as these are great for skin and nails.

An example of lunch in an anti cellulite diet would include a large, leafy green salad with capsicum, sprouts, tomato, cucumber and carrot, mixed with ¼ avocado and a tin (100 – 180g) of water-packed tuna, with half a cup of brown rice. An anti cellulite diet should also consist of eating around 6 – 8 small meals per day, as opposed to 3 large ones. This will help speed your metabolism and circulation, helping you to burn more fat and shedding more cellulite along the way.

Cellulite Diet

Before we talk about a cellulite diet, we first need to understand what cellulite is. This is the name given to the fat layer that is hidden just under the skin giving it a dimpled or spongy look. This fat is actually trapped under the skin due to excess fiber in the body, causing the fat cells to harden and give that honeycomb look.

Why a Cellulite Diet Is a Good Idea

You learn about cellulite diet most likely in a gym. You will also find that you will need to talk with a doctor to find his/her honest opinion. However, there is a rule that you need to keep in mind when you go for a cellulite cure, i.e. unless you exercise regularly (even after the cellulite has totally disappeared), the cellulite will be back in a very short while as if nothing has happened.

Usually you will have to exercise for as many months to remove the cellulite deposited, as it took years for it to be transformed. Another way, which has been received well and proved very efficient, is eliminating cellulite with the help of massaging. You need to keep mind while you take up any of these methods, that these are ongoing processes that have to be sustained if you want to arrest the return of cellulite.

In other words, it looks like the cellulite diet is actually one of the best ways to get rid of this affliction. The cellulite diet usually is accompanied by a routine of moderate exercise to complement weight reduction. You will find that the best results come from using a lot of fiber and roughage. While the fiber will keep the body fit, the roughage with keep your insides clear of any troubles.

When you adopt a cellulite diet, you may want to write off alcohol altogether because, alcohol is thought of as one of the main factors that promote the formation of cellulite in an alarming manner. However, the relation between the consumption of alcohol and cellulite is not really understood yet by modern science.

The best advice when you take up a cellulite diet ensures that you drink plenty of water. The water actually dilutes and breaks down the fat from the cellulite layer right in time to have it expelled from your system forever through urinating. Exercise should be added in a good measure – you should at least walk for 30 minutes daily to feel the benefits.

Cellulite Treatment

Cellulite treatments are available according to advertisements, but there is some question about the effectiveness of all of these treatments. Cellulite is a condition that affects many women starting in their teenage years. It almost never affects men. This condition is the appearance of a dimpling effect on the skin caused by the fat cells gathered beneath the skin. Cellulite appears on the surface of the skin of thin people, and on the surface of the skin of fat people. Therefore, it does not come from being obese, but it may be more hideous on a fat person.

Everyone affected by cellulite wants to minimize the appearance of this unattractive condition. Many medical professionals have explored treatments to eliminate the appearance of the skin with cellulite treatments. The cosmetics companies have also tried to find a solution to the problem of cellulite. They have developed many different creams to try to eliminate the appearance of cellulite. Other health professionals such as professional trainers and massage therapists have sought cellulite treatments for their clients. In spite of these available solutions, cellulite continues to be a problem so a savvy consumer should be skeptical of all of the available solutions.

Some Treatments May Minimize the Appearance of Cellulite

Some people annoyed by the appearance of cellulite turn to liposuction for relief. In this procedure, a highly trained surgeon uses specialized equipment and techniques to suction the fat from beneath the skin. Although these procedures seem to affect the weight as they remove the fat from the body, the procedures do not seem to be a solution to cellulite. There is some evidence that these treatments may increase the unsightly appearance of cellulite. These treatments can be very expensive and time consuming. There is even some anecdotal evidence that these treatments can be very dangerous.

Cosmetics companies looking to increase their sales have dedicated researchers to finding a cellulite treatment that is effective. There are several cellulite treatments on the market that claim to minimize the appearance of cellulite or orange peel skin. Some customers swear that these treatments work and return for more of these creams. The sales are robust, but there is no solid evidence that these work. Some massage therapists claim that their treatments will minimize the hideous appearance of cottage cheese skin and their cellulite treatments are soothing. There is no solid evidence that these are effective as cellulite treatments.

Information On Cellulite

Cellulite is one cosmetic blemish that women have sighed, and even cried over for years. Those small valleys and hills on your thighs, arms, and bum are a constant reminder that your skinny jeans will not make it out of the attic just yet. It can also mean that many years may have passed since you last wore said jeans.

Men get a receding hairline and lose their waist line, and you get cellulite. It almost does not seem fair. Just remember, men also have hair growing out of their ears; you could not handle having your earrings constantly snagging on your ear hair, could you?

Most women are a bit on the clueless side because their information about cellulite is outdated, incomplete, or just wrong. What exactly is cellulite anyway? Medical information describes it as skin that has been dimpled buy stored fat pockets that begin to protrude from underneath. Cellulite is often referred to as “cottage cheese” skin. That poor cottage cheese gets such a bad rap; add some pineapple and flavored jello and you have yourself a nice treat.

The Cellulite 411

Cellulite information can be found at your family doctor’s office, or at a dermatologist’s office. You may also want to schedule a consultation appointment. This does not necessarily mean you committing to anything other than a fact-finding expedition. What suggestions can your doctor offer for getting rid of the leg and arm cheese?

There are a few options for you to look into. If you want to start slow, you might request information about cellulite creams. Some women are a bit hesitant on taking cellulite pills, but information about certain over the counter dugs shows little harmful side effects.

There are always risks, regardless how big or small. It is best to discuss all options with your doctor; he or she may be able to give you the pros and cons to different ointments and procedures. Anything involving surgery should be given much thought, especially taking into consideration any negative aspects.

Cellulite information can be in medical magazines, and online as well. The reigning advice from physicians and experts is still to eat healthy and incorporate some kind of exercise regimen. This may not completely eliminate cellulite, but can noticeably reduce the appearance. Combining this with the creams and pills can aid in your battle with the bum dimples.
